My Large mouth Bass often changes colors from a dark spotted Pattern to a white and then a slight tinge of yellow along his dorsal.Can someone help me understand these patterns are they coralated with his behaviour?

Bass, like other sunfish, change color for mood, camoflouge, etc. I've seen my now deceased largemouth bass change in certain light conditions.

It probably has less to do with the lighting conditions than the decomposition.

This was BEFORE he decomposed, Irate. In fact, the dumb fish was given to a friend and commited suicide by jumping out of the (lidded) 200 gallon tank and got eaten by my friend's husky mix.
