I was just wondering if rainwater killifish can be melanistic sometimes..just wondering

I was just wondering because when I went to pet shop to check out if any bluefins in shrimp tank and I find little rainwater killie with little spots like dots but only in tail region. I did took it home to put them with bluefin killies.
