Well the bag of shrimp I bought will probably last me a month (since he/she only eats about three at one feeding) for just under 5 bucks. I don't find that near as bad as having to buy feeder fish or worms, or having to go out fishing in the cold for food. lol

Good job on the hand training.. I am currently keeping two largemouth bass, both caught when under 2 inches long. I can't get either to eat anything that isn't alive, so I catch mosquitofish out of the creek behind my house, and sometimes moths and candleflies from my back porch light at night. One is in a 20 gallon tank with a bullfrog and he seems to be growing slower than the other who is in a 55 gallon. But they both eat alot. I will keep trying to hand feed them, I wanna be able to get them onto shrimp too!

As has been said - the smallmouth bass is finally starting to show its aggressive side. I've started to see my bass chase some of the female mbuna - full mouth extended. Fun to watch - and I'll be sure to not let it get out of hand.

R.I.P. - Somehow managed to itself stuck in a pot. Will try again in the spring - but will have an all native tank - as big as I can get....

Damn bud. I'm sorry to hear. You seemed really excited about that fish. I hate "random" fish deaths, I'd almost rather be able to blame it on something I did or didn't do.
