Well I have raising lots of fancy platies (xiphophorus maculatus) but I never seen the wild X. Macultus and I had no idea what they looks like.

Well I have raising lots of fancy platies (xiphophorus maculatus) but I never seen the wild X. Macultus and I had no idea what they looks like.

Coloration and pattern in Xiph. maculatus is very locality Dependant and variable. Some look very much like the "fancy ones" and are quite beautiful others are rather dull with little or no color or pattern to them.
