Are they compatible in outdoor tubs?

Well the bluefin and the flagfish can do well in outdoor tubs during summer and expect the babies soon as long as you provide them with plants and green water. Flagfish and bluefin come from Florida and I guess they share same water they live in. Male flagfish might be aggressive during protecting the eggs. So you can just put a pair or trio of flagfish and a group of bluefins in same big tub and you will find some extras by the end of the summer.

But im still learning about outdoor tubs. So ill let it to the real experts.

They will be fine together. I'm currently keeping a trio of flagfish and about eleven bluefins together in a forty gallon aquarium with no problems. I'm just waiting on warmer weather before moving them all outside.
