Mine is doing great on rosie reds.... You could also try starving them for a couple of days and trying to get them to eat shrimp. I am trying that right now with my grass pickerel.

One a day is okay,IMO. But I think every third day, throwing them a couple feeders would also be fine. I would get them off of goldfish though. Goldfish are not ideal feed. If you need live, better to seine shiners, or minnows, or buy fatheads. Pickerel also relish crayfish.
We didn't purposely give them goldfish. It's just the only place we had to put them when they were caught was in the aquarium we had set up for goldfish. We figured they'd eat them though.
