In an earlier thread a member here warned against feeding meat from warm-blooded animals to fish.

A guy who runs a fish store here has been feeding many of his fish Beefheart. He puts it in a blender, adds a little water and freezes it into cubes.

He says it is very high in protein. He also said he has been feeding many of his carnivorous fish this way for years.

Is there any problem with this type of food?

Beefheart has been a staple for serious fishkeepers for ages, especially for discus, but there is a small vocal minority that claims that mammal flesh is not good for fish in the long run.
