I see that you are a NANFA member. Excellent.
All NANFA members by now have likely received an American Currents Volumn 35, Number 1, July 2009.
Part V of our former editor Chris Sharpf's Annotated Checklist of North American Freshwater Fishes.
And you should have received a letter providing details of the Florida Convention from our hosts Brian & Charlie.
If you ( or any other dues paying NANFA member ) have not received these 2 mailings you should contact Tom Watson, our Membership Coordinator at...
onefish2fish@comcast.net
I noticed that you posted on July 26 regarding the Florida Convention t-shirts...
"I am in for two I will send out my check tomorrow"
However i have not received any mail from you.
Yes NANFA is now 2 or 3 issues behind in the production of American Currents and that concern should be directed to the NANFA Leadership. Im told the next issue is virtually ready, but we have been told that for quite some months now.

You should also contact Tom as Casper has suggested to Joshua.
I must say that my AC arrived in a particularly mangled and mashed condition. I cannot explain why since it appeared to be prepared exactly as previous issues. Perhaps your issue was so mangled, the "ship to" could not be read?
Are any other NANFA members missing either the convention announcement mailing or the latest issue of AC? How did your AC arrive?
Joshua. Over the years Chris had edited AC with such devotion, skill and attention to detail, the bar has been set very high. It's honestly difficult to find a combination of talent required to produce such a publication. This has been a difficult transition, and I hope that both an American Currents will hit the mail in the very near future but we can also address each and every NANFA member about delays.

I hope that everyone is getting excited about the upcoming convention. The list of speakers and collecting trips are impressive.
We may or may not get a paypal link established, so I encourage everyone to do it the old fashioned way and send a check to Tom Watson, payable to NANFA at PO Box 1596 Milton, WA 98354-1596.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

I haven't got the convention announcement yet, not a big deal as I won't be able to go anyway. I did get the AC issue though, arrived in good shape.

Im glad that you also took me up on the offer of past convention shirts at a discount.
Joshua will be well attired for the next few years. 6 shirts, i should have given you one more for an even week.
Handsome in the field and at work and play.
Nearly half of the Florida shirts have been sent and the convention is less than 2 months away.
And a reminder that registration fees go up September 1.
Save a bit and register soon as it helps our Florida Hosts do a better job of anticipating and organizing.
I also have room for 1 or 2 more at Tates Hell. There are about 10 of us now up for the 4 days at the FSU Marine Lab's Beach House immediatly after the convention.

into a Trip designation verses Common & scientific names table? Chris' species checklist would be a great starting point.
I would do it myself but I am overdosing on computer time doing job hunting.

Could anyone turn the great NANFA 2009 collecting site information
into a Trip designation verses Common & scientific names table? Chris' species checklist would be a great starting point.
I would do it myself but I am overdosing on computer time doing job hunting.
Done but could use another proofread.

No wonder the forum didn't act as I expected.

If you look, I avoided the Microsoft Problem and sorted the columns and rows.
The file is actually small. 36K

I'm not headed back your direction but will likely travel home via I-75 if anyone plans on stopping to check out fish NW of the convention afterward. I expect to be in Mobile Alabama weekdays prior to the convention and should have afternoons and evening to sample and photo if anyone is in the area.
