Those have always been my personal favorite as far as Phoxinus go.

Thanks. I can't take full credit for it. Ennecanthus and I found a lot of species this past year but MRBD had evaded us for a long time. We tried incorporating collecting with our fishing trips but that didn't work out in regards to finding them. It wasn't until we targetted them specifically that we were able to find them. They are defined as "abundant where found", but the problem is finding them in the first place.
(resurrecting old thread for the benefit of the forum search engine)
I know some collecting spots in Orange County, North Carolina that produce MRBD pretty regularly, and usually in good numbers. If anyone is traveling in search of this species, and willing to drive out to the Hillsborough, NC area, drop me a PM.
