It took me a couple weeks of water changes to finally get the ammonia to safe, i am not sure if it is cycled yet or not.

This should be under general fish keeping, but to move it more on topic I find that tesselated darters are hardy and tolerant of a cycling tank (the one in my 3 gallon died the same day my mummichog did making it survive as long as a notoriously hardy species). are darters normally hardy and a bit resistant to stress level (or worse) chemistry, or are tesselates unusually hardy darters. My tesselate in my 55 is doing well after a few weeks of stress level ammonia, but then again i change water often so haven't lost that many fish.

Any updates? How's the tank coming now?
