There are darters in the stream by my house where I caught my Blacknose Dace in a minnow trap but the darters wont go in it. How can I catch them (what food should I use) in the minnow trap? I have a seine net would that work better?

use the seine.
have a friend kick the rocks and walk down stream to you this should work just fine.

Get a dipnet and position it downstream from you in a riffle. Kick up the rocks between you and the net, moving toward the net. This works well and scares the darters into the net.
Also, quickly dragging a dipnet upstream through a riffle works well too, though it is harsh on a net.
