I waqs wondering if anyone esle has a redear in a tank on here or am i the only one. i never hear any mention redears on, why? the one i have has been tamed very quickly and started hand feeding about a week after goiung into my tank. Does anyone have pics of their redears, i post some of mine later.

I have redear in tanks, sometimes lots, but presently only a couple dozen. Mine range from hatchlings upto nearly 12 inches. They are trained to consume pellets, but unless trained when very small, they are more diffult than most of the other large sunfishes. Run a search on "redear breeding coloration" or "male in courtship mode" to see what some of my males can color up to when on nest. Most do not get as dark but at least some black on courting males.
