We have three large male western dollar sunfish all courting females at same time on bare bottom of 75-gal aquarium. Owing to past demonstrations of aggression / territoriality, I had no idea they could adapt to such a confined environment for spawning. The tank has several females of both longear and western dollar as well as male longear of similar size to the nesting dollars. Only the dollars are nesting and they all have eggs being laid into their 2 dimensional nests.
