Just trying to hammer out my work/vacation schedule for the upcoming year. Do we know an exact date yet for the 2016 convention?

June 9th to 12th, add a couple more days if you want to do the after event.

New Hampshire has some of the most impressive areas that the Appalachians offer. So an extra day or two would be great to include in your vacation time if for nothing but sight seeing. Cannon Cliff for example is roughly 800 feet of granite. Kancamagus highway is an incredible scenic byway much like the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very neat state!

One thing I hope to see in the northern wander is the Grey Jay. I want to find all the boreal birds, but this tops my list as they are so tame.

A quick word of advice. Exercise a bit of caution when in the river in Portsmouth, The tidal effects on it are quite strong.

Is that the same thing as a "Camp Robber" Jay?

Yep, grey Jay, camp robber, whiskey jack, etc. tame enough to eat from your hand and steal from your plate if what I heard is true.

Wow, that convention page looks great! I know this seems to be a different of a location/set of activities than previous conventions I've been to, but, as someone who works with saltwater a lot too, this convention seems really cool. I'm stoked!

I tried this by image links the other day but the site does not allow offsite image linking so I will link the URL's instead.

The piscataqua river drainage. I wonder what effect the narrowing has on it.

Yesterday I ordered a chiller for the convention auction. Usually I see no lower than 300 dollars, but finding one around 100 (price dropped lower after I ordered) I had to get one. So cheap I would not be surprised if it is a nano tank chiller. But this will be in the Auction. http://smile.amazon....supplies&sr=1-1
