You won't be disappointed! (With NANFA membership, of course; I wouldn't touch McDonald's so-called southern chicken sandwich with a stick). I just got my first issue of AC a few weeks ago, and it was a great read. Plus, you'll be helping to support this great organization.

You know, one thing we could do to help with all the non-members who are finding us here it so develop some quality articles/threads to be pinned in each forum. For example, we get an awful lot of "what fish can I keep in this 10/20g tank", "what native plants are easy", "where can I catch fish X" etc. questions. It'd be nice to make it easier for newbies to find those topics, so that we don't get so much duplication (which then makes it even harder to find the real gems of knowledge via the search tool.
Drew, it'd be possible to include a "required reading" list of links to the email new members get when they register, right?
The Forum certainly is awesome, but it has changed the average level of conversation somewhat. There's a lot more repetition now, and a lot more "newbie" questions. We certainly want to welcome the newbies, so let's try to develop better beginner resources to point them to, eh?

It seems a good time for an update to this thread since the Forum now has 1200 members (including some spammers who've been banned...). With 202 of those being declared NANFA members, that means that NANFA members as a percentage is now 16.8%. I know that Irate will join me in urging those of you who participate on this list and are not NANFA members to consider the benefits of membership, for a mere $20 a year (almost nothing as the dollar becomes increasingly devalued...). No, thank you!
