ok, I can see the resemblence. Would you like me to try to bring him to the SE Wisconsin Meeting if I am able to attend?

Sorry about the delay in response. Yeah, if you want to bring him to the meeting that would make a positive ID much easier.

I will try, VERY busy week here. I have two exams ( accounting and consulting) then two presentations and papers due.. too much work.. AHH lol.. I should be able to, his 2.5 gallon is currently being cycled ( used all water from the tank he currently is in so it should be fine right now, but will wait until tonight to move him) but I will work on it tonight.

his mouth is huge for his size, i don't know .. you all make good arguements.

Thanks,
NV

Yeah, based on the new pics, I'm saying goby. I also see the fused pelvic fins in the one picture. So, what kind of goby, don't know, but definitely not a darter.

That is definitely a goby-- very nice photo of the cup shaped pelvic fins :-D . Do you have any information at all about where the LFS may have gotten the shipment of feeder fish from? If you could at least figure out if it came from the US or not, that would be very helpful. I have a freshwater goby (Ctenogobius shufeldti) in my aquarium and yours is most certianly not that (ray counts, body shape, mouth position, etc. don't match).

Take care,
Gretchen
